Mark Teahan elects to leave the Washington Nationals
31-year old lefty swinging 3B/OF Mark Teahan has elected to leave the Nationals as a free agent. Teahan played in 124 games in AAA-ball last year for the Nationals and he was 117 of 450 (.260 avg, .688 OPS) with 60 runs scored, 3 homers, 63 RBIs and 9 stolen bases. He last played in the majors in 2011 for the Blue Jays and White Sox. Teahan has played in 831 games in his first seven years in the majors and he is 759 of 2,873 (.264 avg, .736 OPS) with 388 runs scored, 67 homers, 332 RBIs and 45 stolen bases. This is not much of a loss for the Nationals.
