The Wizards outrebounded the Sixers 52-38 and they held them to 36.6% shooting from the floor tonight, which led to a very impressive home win. Cartier Martin led the way for the Wizards tonight with 20 points and 6 rebounds in 26 minutes off the bench. Jordan Crawford (17 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals) and Nene (16 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal) also had rock solid games for the Wizards last night. Kevin Seraphin pitched in with 14 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocked shots. The Wizards are now 12-39 on the year.

The Wizards played good D as they held the Pacers to 39.2% shooting from the floor, but it didn’t matter in the end. Jordan Crawford led the way for the Wizards last night with 20 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists. Nene’ filled up the stat sheet with 16 points, 13 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot in this game. John Wall (13 points) and Cartier Martin (10 points) also pitched in for the Wizards in this game. The Wizards are now 11-39 on the year.

The Wizards have signed 27-year old SG/SF Cartier Martin to a 10-day contract. He played in 52 games (1 start) for the Wizards last year and he averaged 10.4 minutes, 4.0 points, 1.4 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game. Martin has now played in 103 games (4 starts) in his first three years in the NBA and he is averaging 11.6 minutes, 4.2 points, 1.7 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game.

The Wizards melted down in the second half last night as they were leading this game 51-31 at the half. Jordan Crawford led the way for the Wizards last night with 21 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals. John Wall also had a rock solid game with 16 points, 4 rebounds, 9 assists and 1 steal. The Wizards turned up the D last night as they held the Nets to a paltry 36.9% shooting from the floor and it was the biggest reason for the blowout win. Jordan Crawford (23 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist and 3 steals) and Nene’ (22 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 blocked shot) led the way for the Wizards last night. Roger Mason (16 points, 1 rebound, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot), Kevin Seraphin (12 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 blocked shot in 16 minutes) and John Wall (12 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot) also pitched in last night. The Wizards are now 11-34 on the year.

Kevin Seraphin is stepping up lately for the Washington Wizards

22-year old PF/C Kevin Seraphin has been in the starting lineup lately and he’s been playing well for the Wizards. In Seraphin’s last three games (all starts), he is averaging 11.3 points, 9.3 rebounds, 1.0 assist and 2.7 blocked shots per game. He has now played in 35 games (4 starts) overall this year for the Wizards and he is averaging 14.8 minutes, 4.2 points, 4.0 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game. Seraphin should continue to get decent playing time, but it will start to take a hit starting tonight as Nene’ will be ready to go for the Wizards.
