The Washington Wizards have dealt Jordan Crawford to the Celtics
The Wizards have dealt 24-year old guard Jordan Crawford to the Boston Celtics for 30-year old SG/SF Leandro Barbosa. Crawford played in 43 games (12 starts) for the Wizards this year and he averaged 26.2 minutes, 13.2 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game. He played in 133 games (62 starts) in his three years with the Wizards and he averaged 28.2 minutes, 14.5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game. The Wizards must have really wanted to deal Crawford, as Leandro Barbosa is out for the rest of the 2012-13 season due to a torn ACL.
UPDATE: The Wizards are also getting 34-year old center Jason Collins from the Celtics. Collins played in 32 games (7 starts) for the Celtics this year and he averaged 10.3 minutes, 1.2 points, 1.6 rebounds and 0.2 assists per game. He is only shooting 34.8% from the floor so far this year. Collins has now played in 707 games (474 starts) in his first 12 years in the NBA and he is averaging 20.9 minutes, 3.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game.
